NOAA Artist-in-Residence
K.A. Colorado was the Artist-in-Residence with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. He created five cast glass Ice Core Sculptures for NOAA’s National Marine Sanctuary System. The sculptures are part of the artist’s signature series, the Ice Core Sculptures Series, which depict scientific ice cores retrieved from glaciers or ice sheets, and which feature scientific, written, and DNA information on climate change and Polar regions.
